Newport Beach Breakers & Hoag Hospital World Team Tennis Tournament
July 2008 in Newport Beach, California, is when the Newport Beach Country Club again hosts one of the 11 nationwide teams that make up the WorldTeam Tennis (WTT) – our very own Newport Beach Breakers. The Breakers are managed by Newport Beach-based Hoag Hospital Foundation, and profits from the July event benefit Hoag Hospital and additional Orange County charities.
You’ll love a Breakers Match if you’re lucky enough to attend one. It’s a tennis match like you haven’t seen with music, cheering and lots of tennis action on the court! There’s a hospitality patio with views of the tennis matches, plus views to the Pacific Ocean, Catalina Island and the beautiful horizon beyond. What could be better?

Summer Concert Series at Fashion Island-Newport Center
Fashion Island in Newport Center does it again as it’s hosting their annual free Concert Series every Wednesday evening beginning at 7:30pm in the Bloomingdale’s Courtyard. Concerts are complimentary but seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. Preferred, reserved seating is available for $20 through Guest Services (949.721.2000). Come early and dine in Newport Center while enjoying the balmy ambiance of this lovely coastal area. This is a perfect mid-week break in the routine and music is good for the soul.
